Bobbi Kristina Brown's Cause of Death is Revealed

On Friday, a Georgia medical examiner released autopsy results in the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown and ruled that drug intoxication and immersion in a bathtub were the causes. Morphine, cocaine, prescription medications, as well as alcohol were found in her system. The medical examiner could also determine that she used drugs 24-48 hours prior to getting inside the bathtub. They could not determine which ones were used first or if there was a one-time mix of drugs. In January 2015, the 22 year old daughter of singer Whitney Houston was found unresponsive in her bathtub. Seven months later, Bobbi Kristina died in hospice care. She never regained consciousness.

The findings were released on what would have been her 23rd birthday, and the similarities to her mother's death are sadly ironic. The medical examiner's office stated that Bobbi Christina's death was not due to natural causes. They have also not been able to determine if her death was accidental or intentional.

Even with this information, questions still remain for the family of Bobbi Kristina. Her father, R&B singer Bobby Brown, spoke out on Friday saying that someone needs to be brought to justice for his daughter's death. The circumstances as to why she was face down in the bathtub are unknown. Because of this, the reason for her death has been classified as undetermined. Cause of death yes. Manner of death no.

Bobbi Kristina's former boyfriend, Nick Gordon, has always been suspected of having something to do with her death. So much so that the family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Nick accusing him of causing her death and stealing from her bank account, while she lay in a coma. He has called the allegations slanderous.

Although her death was not determined a homicide, charges can still be filed which is what the family is praying for.
